Emilia-Romagna and the Apennines: Italy by Bike
We were told that Italy, bikes, and summer are a terrible combination. Scorching heat pouring from the sky, crowds of tourists from all over the world, convoys of cars on the streets. A struggle for every slice of pizza, a queue at the bar even for a quick espresso... But what if I tell you that those who said these words chose the wrong place, the wrong region, the wrong time for their travels? Emilia-Romagna turned out to be a wonderful region for a cycling holiday. With a plate of tagliatelle with gorgonzola, a glass of lambrusco, and for dessert ice cream with parmesan and balsamic vinegar, we savored the Italian dolce vita.
