From Berlin to Szczecin: to the cycling bridge in Siekierki
Seeing the new cycling bridge in Siekierki was my goal for a four-day autumn trip from Berlin to Szczecin. I also wanted to fulfill a promise to myself to spend a night on the freshly renovated bridge. Both objectives were splendidly achieved, and I now recommend this bike trip from the German capital to Poland as perhaps the most interesting option for an extended weekend near the Polish borders. A significant advantage is the ride, mostly on bike paths separated from motor traffic, both on the German and Polish sides.
