Brandenburg by bike: Uckermark, also known as the Ucker March
The Uckermärkische Radrundweg - the cycling route around the Uckermark - was our next destination on our bike-friendly journey through Brandenburg. A significant highlight of this route is that nearly half of it passes through natural, protected areas - first through the German Lower Oder Valley National Park, then through the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve. Our journey's attractions also included all the towns in the Uckermark district - Schwedt on the Oder, Prenzlau, Templin, Angermünde, and the quaint Lychen. Completing the route around Uckermark at a leisurely pace took us four days.
