Cycling in Romania: Maramureș and Bukovina
This year, there were no plans for extravagant attractions, meticulously planned tourist offers, or manicured lawns. For our summer cycling trip, we sought a region in Europe that would captivate us with tradition and authenticity, where the daily life of the locals would be the main attraction. Northern Romania and its two regions - Maramureș and Bukovina - turned out to be just that. Probably some of the last such places in Europe.
