After our last year's stay in Saxony, we thought Dresden was both the largest and the most attractive city in Saxony. We believed that nothing could be more picturesque than the Elbe Valley in Saxony. However, when we visited Leipzig this year, we found that not only is the city larger than Dresden, but it also has a completely different atmosphere. Maybe a more pleasant one? A few days spent in Leipzig were enough for us to conclude that Leipzig and the New Leipzig Lake District (New Leipzig Lakeland) are an attractive proposition for a several-day, active stay in Germany.
