Old Railway Route in Western Pomerania: cycling to the Baltic Sea
The Old Railway Route is the second cycling route we've visited this year that has been developed along former railway lines. This visit was particularly gratifying, as this time we found an excellent rail-to-bike path not abroad, but in Poland - in Western Pomerania. The Old Railway Route is also the fourth in a network of cycling routes being developed by Western Pomerania as part of a system enveloping the entire West Pomeranian Voivodeship. An additional advantage of the route is its course, connecting the belt of Polish lakes with the Baltic Sea coast.
