Baltic Sea Coast Route. Cycling EuroVelo 10 in Germany
When the inauguration of the Polish section of the EuroVelo 10 Baltic Sea Coastal Route began in Gdańsk, we saw it as a fantastic opportunity to spend the long May weekend cycling along the Baltic Sea in Germany. Riding along comfortable bike paths, following the footsteps of the medieval Hanseatic League, amidst fields of blooming rapeseed with the Baltic Sea in the background and marzipan treats in our saddlebags, we pedaled from Lübeck through Wismar and Rostock to Stralsund. Along the way, we became convinced that the German Baltic Sea cycling route should serve as a model for Polish local authorities constructing the new European R10 cycling route in Pomerania and Western Pomerania.
