Drava Cycling Route in Carinthia: Austria for a cycling holiday
The Drauradweg cycling route is one of only four routes in Europe to receive the highest rating - five quality stars - from the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC). This year, we nearly completed the entire beautiful cycling route in Austria, adding a bit of variety to our journey with a climb to Lake Weissensee, though skipping the final stretches in Slovenia and Croatia due to pandemic-related difficulties. In its central, longest part, the Drava cycling route winds through Austrian Carinthia, and it's the spectacular landscapes of this region that lend a special charm to a summer journey through Austria.
