To witness how Germany turns abandoned 'iron roads' into leisure spaces, we embarked on the BahnRadweg Hessen - Hessen Railway Cycle Route, the longest rail-to-trail route in Germany. An added highlight of our journey was traversing Central Europe's largest post-volcanic landscape, a unique backdrop to our rail route adventure.
